Good afternoon/late morning! This morning I woke up at 7:45, got dressed for work, and made oats:
In the mix:
- 1/2 C oatmeal
- 1/4 C Kashi Pilaf
- sliced banana
- fresh strawberries
- fresh cherries
- fresh blueberries
- skim milk
- handful of spinach
yes, a handful of spinach. I saw people do this on other blogs- and their oats turned into an awesome green color- just like a green monster! But mine did not do this! The spinach just shriveled up and never “dissolved” into my oatmeal. It was funny looking! HAHA but honestly, I could not taste the spinach. does anyone know how to “dissolve” the spinach into the oats?
I went into work, walked around my area to time the cars for 2 hours- and now I am back home for a little break before heading back out there! I had a snack of 2 dates- 1 with almond butter and 1 with peanut butter, and about 10 baby carrots or so:
I usually eat figs but dates are SO SWEET AND JUICY!! When I bit into the date with the almond butter and peanut butter…my mouth melted. I was in complete bliss. Im still thinking about it haha….another question for you guys : Do you eat figs or dates? Do you know what the health benefit differences are between the two?
Today after work I am biking 35 miles with my friend…I am nervous! I have never biked that far before! Hope it goes well! Then I am coming home making Jenna’s Roasted Veggie & Lentil Soup with a whole grain baguette from a family owned bakery a town over from here- ill go buy that on my lunch break! I cant wait to try this soup out!
